In the ancient town of Ling, where the moon's glow painted the night sky in shades of silver and gold, there lived a young woman named Ling'er. She was known for her beauty, grace, and her deep, soulful eyes that seemed to hold the secrets of the universe. Her heart, however, was a mystery to all but one—Xin, the son of a wealthy merchant who had fallen in love with her from the moment he first laid eyes upon her.

Xin was a man of many contradictions. He was a merchant by trade, yet his heart was as pure as the morning dew. He was a man of wealth, yet he was humble and generous with his time and resources. But there was one thing that Xin was not: a man of patience. He desired Ling'er with a passion that was as fierce as the flames that danced in the hearth.
